The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has impressed on members of the All Progressives Congress to elect him as the party’s presidential flag bearer for the next year general elections.
He stated this on Tuesday night at the convention of the party in Abuja.
The President of the Senate noted that having spent 23 years in the National Assembly, he has garnered experiences that eminently qualified him to be President of Nigeria.
Lawan said, “Worldwide, developed democracies are run by parliamentarians. Look very closely to ensure that we elect someone that will ensure the APC achievements so far are consolidated.”
