2023: Abe drums support for Tinubu

A former member of the National Assembly, Magnus Abe, has expressed optimism that All Progressives Congress, APC national leader, Ashiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu remain only APC presidential aspirants that can deliver presidency for the party in 2023 general elections.

Abe expressed this confidence on Thursday at Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Port-Harcourt, during a meeting with party stakeholders at the inauguration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Vanguard.

The former lawmaker noted that for the governing party to retain power beyond May 2023, after the expiration of President Mohammadu Buhari's administration, only Tinubu can get the job done.

The former lawmaker who represented Rivers South-East Senatorial District at the Red Chamber said, he will vie for governorship seat whether Tinubu wins the APC presidential ticket or not, saying he stands the chance of becoming the next governor of oil rich Rivers State.

He assured the APC faithfuls in the State his unflinching support to the party irrespective of whoever emerges as the APC’s flagbearer to contest the presidential election.

“Tinubu is the only man that can deliver the killer punch that will make the APC to remain in power after President Muhammadu Buhari leaves.

“The reason I am supporting him is simple. I looked at all who want to run, who claim they have done this and that and I saw that Ashiwaju is the person in APC that can deliver.

“I was not being sentimental, he did not tell me he was going to support me, no. I support him because I want the party to win," he explained.
